A commemorative plaque in memory of the two visits of Napoléon in Liège is located on the façade of the Hôtel de Hayme de Bomal along the Maestricht street.
The first visit of Napoléon took place in August 1803 with his first wife Joséphine of Beauharnais when he was Premier Consul. In november 1811, Napoléon came back in Liège as Imperor of France with his second wife Marie-Louise of Austria.
